Vintage Roots Salon ("Vintage Roots," "we," "us") is a hair salon at 153 Main Street, North Reading, Massachusetts. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, contact us, book with us or apply to work with us, and how we use and protect it.

Information we collect

When you request an appointment or contact us. Your name, email, phone number and anything you choose to share in your message, such as the services you're interested in or questions about your hair.

When you visit the salon. The details we need to book and serve you, such as your name, contact information, appointment history, service notes (for example, color formulas) and purchase history. Payments are processed by our point-of-sale provider; we do not store full card numbers ourselves.

When you apply to join our team. Your name, town, contact information, licensing status, experience, specialties, availability, portfolio or Instagram link, and anything you choose to upload, such as a resume or photos of your work.

When you respond to one of our Facebook or Instagram ads. If you submit a form inside Facebook or Instagram (for example, a job application), Meta shares the information you submit with us, such as your name, email, phone number and your answers to our questions. Meta's own use of that information is covered by Meta's Privacy Policy.

When you browse our website. Our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information, such as your browser type, device and pages visited, to keep the site running securely.

How we use your information

• To send appointment reminders and follow-ups related to your visits
• To review job applications and contact applicants about open positions

Job applications are confidential

Applications go directly to the salon owner and are kept confidential. They aren't shared with our current team or anyone outside the hiring decision. We keep application information only as long as it's useful for the current hiring process and a reasonable time afterward in case a future opening fits, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the salon, such as our booking and payment system, our website host and form provider, email and accounting tools, and only as needed for them to do that work. We may also share information if required by law.

How we protect your information

We use reputable providers and limit access to the people at the salon who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we have about you, correct it or delete it, except where we need to keep certain records for legal, tax or payment reasons. You can also ask us to stop contacting you.

Children

Our website and online forms are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them online. Appointments for minors are made by a parent or guardian.
